The Interview: What to Bring

Okay, you’ve scored the interview.  What do you bring?

Here is what we suggest to clients on what to bring to an interview:

1.     Hard copies (3-4) of your resume in a folder or an envelope.

2.     A hard copy list of references.

3.     Paper & Pen (to take notes)

4.     Questions

a.      What are you looking for in a candidate? / What are the responsibilities of this position?

b.     What is the duration of the project?

c.      Who else will you be working with? / How big is the team?

d.     It IS okay to ask about rate/pay.

 Other tips:

Arrive to the interview no more than 10-15 minutes early. (Remember “Early is on time, on time is late” – but don’t be too early.) Dress sharp casual, but not too comfortable or sloppy.

*Bonus tip from Jax: Wearing a watch to your interview shows you value the importance of time. (Deep, right?)
