You're Not Wrapped Until Your Resume is Updated

Finding the next job is pretty much….a job… in itself. Therefore, it is important to keep your resume up to date, and easily accessible. I keep a general rule, “You’re not wrapped until your resume has been updated”.   I am not allowed to officially relax until I have added that credit and saved a new pdf of my resume.  We highly suggest saving your updated resume to the following places to be accessible when you are not at your computer:

Google Drive

Dropbox

iCloud

Attach it to an email draft

This allows you to submit your resume sooner, which means the employer sees it sooner, which means you get the gig…sooner.

One of our clients got a gig from someone they met in a shared Lyft ride.  Instead of waiting to send over her resume once she got home (she was on her way home from the airport), she was able to send a resume from her phone while still in the car. The production supervisor appreciated her being so prepared, he also said it showed she valued her job.

P.S. We blame the polar vortex for this late post.
